Our History
Alexander Torrenegra founded his first technology company (Cyberprise) in 1994. Cyberprise offered IT outsourcing services that included programming and database development for a variety of distinguished clients. In 1997, driven by customer demand, Alexander and his team developed their first websites using the latest online technologies and business strategies. In 1998, the company opened a division to offer web design and development services worldwide. In 2000 Alexander decided to work in his own business ideas and founded Torrenegra Labs. Since then, Torrenegra Labs has created and invested in several companies with ground-breaking technologies and innovative and successful business models. In 2001 Alexander met his wife, Tania, who inspired him with her altruism and social awareness to continue the sustainable expansion of Torrenegra Labs by focusing primarily on human development as a business advancement. Today, Torrenegra Labs is a highly competitive and creative investment firm, yet is also the combination of the dreams of its companies and their people.
This is our timeline:
August 2010: HUBBog, the first technology co-working space in Bogota, opens its doors.
January 2010: LetMeGo announces its open beta; travelers begin receiving real personalized offers from hosts.
October 2009: Torrenegra Internet Solutions and Internet.com.co merge their operation to become ServerQuo.
July 2009: Maria Socorro Velez, the second team member of Torrenegra Labs, passes away, but remains a part of everyone she touched.
May 2009. LetMeGo, the online lodging marketplace where lodgings submit personalized offers for travelers’ business, begins accepting listings from hosts.
December 2007: Development starts on LetMeGo.
July 2007: Voice123 Version 2.0 is launched, featuring Voice123 SmartCast.
December 2006: Casting123 is shut down.
June 2006: Voice123 hosts its one-millionth audition.
December 2005: Casting123 - The Acting & Modeling Marketplace is launched.
September 2005: Language123 achieves profitability.
January 2005: Language123 - The Translation Marketplace is launched.
August 2004: Oursourrce It is established.
November 2003: Voice123 achieves profitability.
June 2003: Voice123 - The Voice Marketplace is launched.
March 2002: Rentalo achieves profitability.
January 2002: The new Rentalo is launched.
September 2001. Torrenegra Labs joins efforts with HiQTelecom, Inc. to re-launch Rentalo, the largest vacation rental directory in the industry.
December 2000: Torrenegra Labs (at that time known as Torrenegra Internet Solutions) is founded.
